write a persuasive speech in favour of zoos

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

Zoos Are Important

A zoo is a place where animals are housed for a multitude of reasons. Here, they are cared for and protected. A major purpose is for display to the public, however zoos protect endangered species from going extinct by breeding the species in captivity. While some animals tend to spend their entire lives in zoos, due to health or physiological issues most animals that can be, are released back into the wild after they have been cared for. It may seem like zoos are just for the entertainment of people, but that is not the case. In many cases zoos help animals who have been abandoned such as baby rhinos who have been orphaned due to poaching. Not all zoos take in such exotic animals, but there are more than not that do so. There are strict guidelines in place to prevent zoos from abusing animals and systems in place to help them be released safely and successfully. With the growing population taking a great portion of the land in some places that are home to many animals, zoos tend to be a sanctuary for animals who no longer have a home. A minor benefit of zoos is they also help the economy.

We are determined stand__ fir our rights

Answers

We are determined to stand Option b. up for our rights.

When we say "stand up for our rights," it means that we are willing to assert ourselves and defend our rights or the rights of others. Standing up for our rights implies taking action, speaking out, and advocating for what we believe is just and fair.

Choosing the option "in" would not convey the same sense of active involvement and determination. "On" and "over" would not fit the context of standing up for rights either.

Standing up for our rights is essential in various aspects of life, such as social justice, civil rights, equal opportunities, and personal autonomy. It signifies our refusal to be silent or submissive when our rights are being infringed upon or denied. It is an expression of courage, resilience, and a belief in the principles of fairness and equality.

By standing up for our rights, we contribute to creating positive change, raising awareness, and fostering a more inclusive and just society. It involves challenging injustices, discrimination, and oppressive systems. It often requires unity, solidarity, and collective action to bring about meaningful transformations.

Ultimately, standing up for our rights is an act of empowerment, allowing us to assert our dignity, protect our freedoms, and create a better future for ourselves and others. Therefore, Option B is Correct.

Although the Navajos had agreed to have their children attend school as part of a decades-old treaty with the United States government, many Navajo families, like Atsidi’s, were not willing to send their children away from their sacred homeland. Effective argumentation anticipates an opponent's counterclaim. So the option D is correct.

Argumentation that anticipates an opponent's counterclaim necessitates the arguer's awareness of probable objections to their argument. This means that the arguer must not only be informed on the topic under discussion, but also be aware of any prospective counterclaims made by an opponent.

Anticipating counterclaims allows the arguer to prepare a response and present evidence to support their argument ahead of time. Furthermore, anticipating counterclaims allows the arguer to strengthen their argument by addressing any potential weak points or weaknesses.

This can be accomplished by presenting evidence that refutes the counterclaim or by demonstrating how their argument incorporates the counterclaim. So the option D is correct.

Do you think the false accusations and prison time ruined these young men’s lives or were their lives already doomed before the night they were first arrested? Explain your thoughts

Answers

I believe that the false accusations and prison time had a devastating effect on these young men's lives. They were wrongfully convicted of a crime for which they did not commit, and the resulting time in prison had a profound impact on their futures.

What is commit?

A commit is a type of version control system that allows users to save changes to their code. When a user commits a change, they are creating a "snapshot" of their code at that time. This snapshot is stored in a repository, which is a collection of revisions of the same project. By committing changes, users can track the development of their project over time. Commits also allow users to revert back to an earlier version of their code if they need to.

Not only did they have to endure the physical and psychological strain of prison life, but they were also deprived of their right to pursue education and meaningful careers. The false accusations and prison time undoubtedly scarred these young men, and made their lives much more difficult than they might have been had they not been wrongfully convicted. It is impossible to know what their lives would have been like had they not been wrongfully accused, but it is likely that they would have had access to more opportunities and been able to lead more successful lives.

Which event from The Odyssey best highlights the idea that the acient greeks greatly disliked greediness?

Answers

The event in "The Odyssey" that demonstrates the ancient Greeks' strong disliking of greediness is- when Odysseus' crew opens the bag of winds given to him by Aeolus. That bag holds all the winds except the advantageous west wind, which could have guaranteed their safe return home.

Inquisitiveness and greed lead the crew to open the bag, unleashing the tempestuous winds that propel them off course. This incident emphasizes the Greeks' view that succumbing to greediness and transgressing heavenly gifts or prophecies will cause some deadly outcomes and disrupt the natural order.

In conclusion, it can be said that the Greeks valued discipline, self-restraint, and the quest of noble objectives over instantaneous indulgence.

The "Little Albert" experiment by John B. Watson involved teaching a young kid to dread a white rat. They did this by continuously pairing the white rat with a distressingly loud clanging sound.

The results of John Watson's experiment suggest that emotions of identity or situations that require have a role in people's aggressive conduct against others. They made the assumption that someone could be trained to act or react in a particular way.

The main problem was that fear is a bad emotion, and when the topic is a kid it becomes even more immoral to expose a child to it and cause terror in him.

Evidence: Between the four-year intervals that were established above, there is a clear inverse relationship between the number of Weasel present and the number of lemmings available.

Reasoning: The above means that as the population of weasels increased, the population of lemmings available to support them became unsustainable. Every four years, this cycle corrects itself.
