What is most likely the author's reason for including criticisms of the Constitution, such as those by Lucy Stone, Thurgood Marshall and Benjamin

Franklin?

Answers

The statement that contains what is most likely the reason for the author to include criticisms by Lucy Stone, Thurgood Marshall and Benjamin Franklin is "She wants to show how criticisms helped improve the Constitution over the years." (fourth option)

Why did the author include criticisms to the Constitution?

As we know, the Constitution is the most important law in the US, the document that determines how the country should be governed. Therefore, there must be a reason for the author to include criticisms to the Constitution in her text.

Notice that the criticism she mentions comes from people who made history. Franklin, Marshall, and Stone were all people who fought for the improvement of the American society. Thus, their criticism aimed to improve the Constitution itself.

With that in mind, we can say the author's purpose was to show how the Constitution was improved over the years thanks to the criticism by those figure, who saw issues that deserved to be addressed, such as the  universal right to vote.

The missing answer choices for this question are the following:

She intends to silence their criticisms by showing how theses critics were defeated. She wants the reader to create their own criticisms of the Preamble. She believes their criticisms will undermine the Constitution and leave us searching for a new document. She wants to show how criticisms helped improve the Constitution over the years.

Does Grokking the coding interview work?

Answers

Grokking the Coding Interview is a popular course that aims to help software engineers prepare for technical interviews. The course is designed to help students learn how to solve common coding interview problems and to provide a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts that are frequently tested in software engineering interviews.

The question of whether Grokking the Coding Interview works depends on what the student is looking to achieve. If the goal is to learn how to solve coding interview problems, then the course can be highly effective. The course provides detailed explanations and visualizations of how to solve each problem, which can help students understand the problem-solving process. Additionally, the course provides a large number of practice problems, so students can test their understanding and improve their coding skills.

However, if the student's goal is simply to pass a coding interview, then Grokking the Coding Interview may not necessarily be the best option. While the course covers many common coding interview problems, it is important to note that interviewers may still ask questions that are not covered in the course. Additionally, the course does not necessarily provide practice for the non-technical aspects of the interview, such as communication skills and understanding the company's culture.

In conclusion, Grokking the Coding Interview can be a useful tool for preparing for technical interviews, but it is not a guarantee of success. The course can help students understand how to solve coding problems and improve their coding skills, but it is important to also prepare for other aspects of the interview and to continue practicing and learning after completing the course.

The saturated liquid in a piston-cylinder assembly without friction undergoes the phase- changing process with constant pressure and constant temperature by heating. The mass finally reaches the saturated vapor state. Find the expressions for the related work and heat with thermodynamic properties. And prove that the process is internally reversible.

Answers

The process is internally reversible because the process is happening isobarically (at constant pressure) and isothermally (at constant temperature) without friction. The entropy of the system remains constant during this process.

Given data: Saturated liquid undergoes phase-changing process without friction Constant pressure and constant temperature by heating Mass finally reaches the saturated vapor state. Work done in an isobaric process, ΔW = PΔV;where, P is the constant pressure and ΔV is the change in volume.

Heat transfer in an isobaric process, Q = ΔH;where, ΔH is the change in enthalpy.ΔW = PΔVThe work done during the process can be expressed as: ΔW = m [V2 - V1] , where m is the mass of the substance and V2, V1 are the specific volume of the vapor and liquid states, respectively. Now, the specific volume of saturated liquid, Vf, can be obtained from the steam tables as: Vf = 0.001019 m3/kg Specific volume of saturated vapor, Vg, can also be obtained from the steam tables as: Vg = 0.1944 m3/kg

So, the work done during the process can be written as:ΔW = m [Vg - Vf]ΔW = m [0.1944 - 0.001019]kJ/kgΔW = 0.1934m kJ/kgHeat transfer in an isobaric process, Q = ΔHAs per first law of thermodynamics,ΔU = Q - ΔWwhere ΔU is the change in internal energy. For an internally reversible process, ΔU = m(u2 - u1)u1 is the internal energy per unit mass of saturated liquid and u2 is the internal energy per unit mass of saturated vapor.

Now, enthalpy of the saturated liquid can be obtained from the steam tables as:hf = 419.03 kJ/kgEnthalpy of the saturated vapor can also be obtained from the steam tables as:hg = 2676.5 kJ/kgSo, the change in internal energy can be written as:ΔU = m [hg - hf]kJ/kg

Thus, the heat transfer in the process is given by:Q = ΔW + ΔUQ = 0.1934m + m(hg - hf)Q = m [hg + 0.1934 - hf]kJ/kgThe process is internally reversible if it can be reversed without leaving any effect on the surrounding.

Answers

Chebyshev's theorem states that, for any given data set, a minimum fraction of values lie within a certain number of standard deviations from the mean.

Let's apply this to a normal distribution with a mean of 47 and a standard deviation of 13.1. At least % of the values will fall between 8 and 86.

We'll begin by calculating k:k = (86-47)/13 = 3

Thus, according to Chebyshev's theorem,

at least 1 - 1/k^2 = 1 - 1/9 = 8/9 (about 88.89%) of the values lie within three standard deviations of the mean.

This means that at least 88.89% of the values fall between 47 - 3(13) = 8 and 47 + 3(13) = 86.

Therefore, at least 88.89% of the values will fall between 8 and 86.2.

At least % of the values will fall between 13 and 81.

We'll begin by calculating k:k = (81-47)/13 = 2.62

Thus, according to Chebyshev's theorem, at least 1 - 1/k^2 = 1 - 1/6.86 ≈ 85.5% of the values lie within 2.62 standard deviations of the mean. This means that at least 85.5% of the values fall between 47 - 2.62(13) ≈ 13 and 47 + 2.62(13) ≈ 81. Therefore, at least 85.5% of the values will fall between 13 and 81.

There has been so much debate about the issue of who built the pyramids, with no real or valid scientific at all. Some historians and archeologists say that it was the Egyptian kings the ones who built them as burial structures, although no tomb has been found there.
